Gega Oil Expands Its Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

Shpërndaj:

As the world embraces sustainable transport solutions, Gega Oil, a leading company in the hydrocarbon industry with a network of over 90 fuel stations, is taking significant steps to adapt to the ongoing energy transition.

Recognizing the growing popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) and the increasing demand for charging infrastructure, Gega Oil is intensifying its efforts to install EV charging stations at its own fuel stations — a clear sign of its commitment to a greener future.

Gega Oil understands the crucial role electric vehicles play in reducing carbon emissions and promoting cleaner air quality. The company’s decision to integrate EV charging stations into its existing network demonstrates its dedication to supporting the shift from traditional internal combustion engines to electric mobility.

The company has begun installing EV chargers in key strategic locations near Albania’s borders with Kosovo, Greece, North Macedonia, and Montenegro. These locations are also strategically positioned along major national roads.

Each designated station offers a comfortable rest area, complete with a coffee shop, market, or modern restaurant. Charging capacities will range from 22 kW to 90 kW, ensuring efficient and flexible charging speeds for EV users. The company’s charging stations will also appear and be bookable through leading apps such as ChargePointPlugShareChargemap, and others.

By the end of 2024, Gega Oil aims to complete the incorporation of at least 10 EV charging points across its network. Standing out as a pioneer among hydrocarbon companies, Gega Oil is leading this initiative to better serve its customers and support the country’s transition toward sustainable mobility.
